Iso Rubber / Gummi reproductions - footpegs - handel grips - air hose - pedal

When doing a little advanced browsing on the internet I hit this photo and it was linked to this website:

https://www.pistonshop.it/ricambi-moto-epoca/marca/iso/#cc-m-product-10947106774

They also offer an engine gasket set. More below the first photo.

And I also found this one:

Always useful these items are available when doing a restoration.

Tail light - Vetro fanalino posteriore Lambretta LD 1957 - Catalux Aprilia - Ducati - MV Augusta - Iso Feretto

Another item that arrived together with the battery was the rear light

The old one was not damaged but was missing the lower transparant case housing/strip. I think it got lost somehow. And it was "fixed" with cellotape:

Luckily this item is still available as it's another item as used on the Lambretta D150

https://www.riminilambrettacentre.com/it/vetro-fanalino-posteriore-lambretta-ld-1957.html

Price € 15,-

for photo purposes I mounted it but afterwards I put the old one back on again as I fear it might get damaged, it's very fragile. I'm surprised there is not even a gasket for it. Also the lampholder underneath is very particular. More on that in a different blogpost.

I did perform some more checking on the rear light and by surprise I found this photo. It's an item that was for sale. And as you can see it has a gasket. Also you can see the nice lightbulb-holder setup, which is slightly different as done on the Iso. I'm now curious to know on which vehicle this has been used. Althouh it looks similar I suspect it's slightly larger thus different.

It might have been used on the Iso Furetto? I'm awaiting a response from the reseller.

Or on a MV Augusta (this one has the white gasket):

Next I found this light with a metal case housing unit:

After a bit more digging it looks like this might have been used on a Ducati 100cc sport from 1957. Or at least on some Ducati's from that era. After further checking I noticed the rear lights on the Ducati's are however slightly different but close though.

And one more I found, with a metal background plate. I wonder how the bulblight holder looks on the inside. Unfortunately no photo's of that available. Slightly to expensive as well to purchase:

And today I received the photo of the inside, a completely different lampholder solution

New battery - BATTERIA 6V (TIPO D'EPOCA) LAMBRETTA D150 LD150 (VERS. 2) LD'57

It's package delivery time. I ordered this small battery as per blog:

https://erwinisomilano.blogspot.com/2023/07/battery-holder-aprilia-rectifier.html

Ordered this item. And as you can see it's a gel battery (I saw somewhere an acid battery with the same dimensions). It does not mention the amperage however:

https://www.riminilambrettacentre.com/it/batteria-6v-a-gel-lambretta-d150-ld150-vers-2-ld-57.html

Price € 55,-

So time to bend and hammer the batteryholder straight back in position again

And presto:

And now all nicely mounted together. The wiring is not connected yet, it's just for photo purpose. Luckily most of the original cabling is still there but it will require more time to have it all worked out

Compartment lock - Part II - Serrature Milano Edal - chiave

This is a follow up on the following blogpost:

https://erwinisomilano.blogspot.com/2023/07/keylock-compartment.html

By surprise I found the original lock in a box with some screws and other bits and pieces. Unfortunately it came without a key. Nevertheless I was happy with this item. Unfortunately there was no brand stamp or any number on it. Still I suspect it's a EDAL lock

I managed to find this page:

https://www.swisstonysscooterspares.com/original-new-old-stock-lambretta-keys-number-edal/a/3786/

So I reached out to them but never got any response (update 15-8-2023: by now they have reached out to me and kindly offered their support)

Then I got ahold of this page and contact nr:

https://scootersoriginali.com/pages/replacement-lambretta-keys

And he replied he could not do much without a number and advised to go to the local locksmith.

At first I was not interested to go to the local locksmith I was already anticipating the outcome. But I made an attempt and got the expected answer.

So went the for the best alternative and found this option:

It was the closest I could find. The diameter was a little to small: 18 mm instead of the wanted 21.5 mm. So I found this 20 mm nylon socket (used foor doorhandles) and made that fit by cutting the outersleeve. Price for the lock and the nylon socket about € 15,-

And here it is mounted. I had to bend the arm a little so it would fit tight. Next I had put a little ductape on it so it would not be metal on metal scraping.

It works okay and looks pretty good as well:

In the end I did send the original lock to a professional locksmith. Hoping he can do magic and make a matching key. Very curious regarding the outcome. Watch this space.

Iso Wrench / Spanner - Chiave fissa

Unexpected I came ahold of this original Iso wrench. How cool is that:

Upon checking the parts manual I see the size 9-12 is not correct for the scooter. It should be either 8-10 or 11-14. Nevertheless I'm very pleased with. I noticed a few others available on Ebay but these were overpriced. Hopefully I come across a few more overtime so I can make a cool complete tool set.

In the Iso Facebook group somone posted the following set of spanners:

I suspect the bottom one is the correct spanner for the scooter.

Iso F 150 scooter - salone ?

I found these unique photo's somewhere online, not sure anymore about the source. Maybe it's a poor scan of a magazine or book:

Dutch Magazine Het Motor Rijwiel - Iso scooter article

A very nice Dutch article in this magazine from 2013. It's available in the Google Drive Download folder (top right bar):
