This is long dragging story since I posted this blog:

https://erwinisomilano.blogspot.com/2023/07/brake-and-clutch-handles.html

Since then I had made various attempts to source these hanldes. I will spare you the details and efforts I made. And by now I thought I had sourced them newly. I was doing a reverse image lookup and these popped up. They were used on a Vespa Struzzo! They looked identical and immediately ordered them:

Today I checked them and turned out they are slightly different. As a matter of fact I had ordered these about 2 years ago or so.  So now I had another useless pair :-(

BUT I had another pair ordered back then, again another slightly different pair. And that pair potentially could be modified to make it fit. So now I took the liberty to make an attempt. Here you can see all the different models. On the right, is the correct original, in the middle the Vespa lookalike, and on the left another lookalike (Lambretta? I'm unsure as I don't recall it).

You would think the middle one is the closest, but it's to thin so it will fall through. Also it's slightly shorter (not a big deal) and one side is to small as well.

In any case, I adjusted one using a drill and my dremel cutter. And somehow this all worked out nicely to my surprise. It's not perfect but it's functional.

I adjust the frontbrake cable and now that's working again

Now I need to do the other side as well. Fingers crossed!  I will make some more photo's on how I did it  and will try to look up which model handles they were used for.
